Free2move, by Stellantis, is reducing emissions to help

the world move towards net zero

As a strategic part of the Stellantis Dare Forward Plan, Free2move is already meeting their emission reduction milestones

Washington D.C. – August 2nd, 2023 - Free2move, by Stellantis, is driven to reduce emissions and help the world move towards net zero, with tangible steps already achieved and milestones set for 2025, 2030, and 2040. The tech and data mobility offering provides seamless, shared access to quality Low Emission Vehicles (LEV - below 50g CO2 per kilometer) while simultaneously reducing the number of automobiles on the road.

A mobility marketplace with solutions that impact carbon footprint

Automobile usage is the biggest lifestyle choice that can impact carbon footprint, and Free2move is disrupting the mobility marketplace with solutions designed to make collective vehicle access easy, and the transition to EVs more accessible, while reducing the need for individual car ownership. As a one-stop-shop for seamless vehicle access by the minute, by the day, and by the month, Free2move is easing their customers from the long-term commitment of vehicle ownership with new and flexible options that only require payment for usage. Following the acquisition of Europe’s biggest free-floating car sharing company SHARE NOW, Free2move catapulted into one of the largest shared vehicle services in the world, with 6 million customers in 170 countries, more than 1 billion minutes of car sharing service in 2022 and 450 000 cars available for car rental and long-term subscription.

Free2move is active to the EV transition targets

Free2move is actively helping the world meet the EV transition targets put forth by the automobile industry. Not everyone interested in supporting the energy transition is able to quickly and easily purchase an EV. By introducing EVs into their fleets, customers can choose to participate in this transition, either by testing the vehicles prior to purchase or by integrating these vehicles into their transportation portfolio. With their special unit Free2move eSolutions, Free2move is further

simplifying the transition to electric mobility by removing the obstacles to EV usage, providing access to charging stations, and launching a unique, fast charging network powered by renewables, for example.

As a strategic part of the Stellantis Dare Forward plan, Free2move is committed to meeting the objective of 100% LEV in its fleet by 2040, with initial LEV targets of 40% by 2025 and 60% by 2030. Free2move is already moving towards these targets with LEV making up 22% of their fleets today.

“At Free2move, we put the customer experience at the heart of the business to reinvent mobility. Our solutions are designed to offer a seamless customer experience, with new options to access safe, reliable LEV vehicles. We are thrilled to have created a mobility solution that eases the transition to EVs for our customers. And we are so excited about the impact this will have, helping the world move towards net zero” shares Brigitte Courtehoux, CEO Free2move.
