There's no way of parking closer to the terminal than booking the airport's own Short Stay 1 car park - it's just over the road from departures and very simple to use. Park, keep your keys and catch your flight, secure in the knowledge that your car will be protected by regular patrols and CCTV while you're away on your well-earned break. When you get back, just walk to your car and drive off. Airport parking as simple as a trip to the shops.
Security measures
The car park is protected by CCTV and entry and exit barriers. It holds the Park Mark, a national security award for car parks accredited by the police.

Instructions

Drive up to the entry barrier and wait for the machine to read your number plate - this can take up to a minute. If nothing happens, press the button marked "assistance" so you can speak to a member of staff through the intercom. Don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you will be charged again for your parking, and don't press the ticket button, as this will stop you being able to gain entry.

Once you're through the barrier find a space and keep your keys. From there, walk to the terminal - it should take a minute or two.
We recommend removing any hand sanitiser from your car while you're away - during hot weather it can become flammable.

Early or late? The car park offers a 6 hour grace period at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £20 per day, which is subject to change.

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).
Transfers
No transfers are needed as the car park is within easy walking distance.
Directions
From the North:
- Leave the M1 at junction 24, taking the third exit for Ashby road.

From the South:
- Just take junction 23a.

- At the roundabout and take the second exit onto the A453.
- Go straight over the first roundabout, then right at the next into the airport.
- Take a left at the next roundabout.
- On arrival at the airport, follow signs for Short Stay 1 car park.

Le parking longue durée est le seul pour lequel il est exigé le ticket à la sortie alors que c'est celui pour lequel on a le plus de chance de perdre le ticket. Pourquoi la reconnaissance automatique de plaque ne suffit pas, comme pour les autres ?

Insatisfait J'ai bien réservé beaucoup en avance, le jour J je n'ai pas eu place au P4. Obligé de stationner au parking P1.

Parking très bien situé à l'aéroport, cependant les informations envoyées par mail lors de la réservation restent flou et imprécis. Il n'y a pas besoin de qr code pour accéder au parking et la sortie a été assez compliqué pour nous car le ticket c'était effacé avec le temps. Cependant le service est très correcte.
